EAT MORE MUSHROOMS!

It’s spring and that means we are eating more mushrooms. Not only are they tasty and delightful on a hot spring day, they have health benefits too! Mushrooms and Truffles are a divine combo. Their fans are more than that – they’re fanatics.

Mushrooms are known to be a reliable source of vitamin B, and provide other essential minerals such as copper and potassium. They are very low in fat, carbohydrates, and salt, and are very useful for antibacterial, anti-inflammatories, and antioxidants. Mushrooms are also known to help reduce blood pressure, moderate blood sugar, reduce cholesterol, reduce stress, and enhance the immune system.

Mushrooms go through various stages of maturity ~ and thus portabello, button and white mushrooms are really the same mushroom, just at different stages of life.
